The sound is very clean and precise but with plenty of tight bass. Not a lot different to build 8273. All in all another good driver :)
I agree with everything you're saying. Keeping this update, sounds good.

As khanmein's edited post says, HD Audio Driver version 6.0.1.8287 has been released. Windows 64-bit only and four versions to cover the various major updates to Windows 10.

Why do they need four different versions? What are the differences?

I've been looking at this for a while and as yet haven't found any differences. The contents of the .cab files appear to be exactly the same. It could be that it's just the way that Microsoft prefer to catalogue them :)

Is it just me or do these make music sound muddy now...

Sounds like the treble was lowered?

I agree, I'll probably roll back to build 8279 later this evening :)

    Hi,

That just saved me a half our work. Thanks.

BTW, 8281 no good either ?

I didn't even try build 8281 out as it was a strange release. Published for one Windows 10 release 64-bit only.
It wouldn't have been worth Brink's time updating the first post :)

The new build 8287 is exactly as jrolson posted, muddy and lacking top end. You wouldn't like it Frank
