Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

8522 was released, but of course it's not on MUC...

Anyhow, I have some info regarding why Microsoft are releasing less and less updates for Realtek HD Audio drivers.
I was told they are gradually phasing out these kinds of updates that still work for older operating systems such as Windows 7.
This is why there are more and more updates for the UAD, Universal Audio Driver, being released. Generally, the UAD works with newer operating systems and PCs.

From Realtek's end, they are well aware of many people still using Windows 7. As a result, they are still offering updates for the HD Audio Driver (which of course also work for Windows 10). But, they are making them available through other websites. As a side note: It would be nice if Realtek actually offered these updates via their own website.

Hi asturias7, build 8522 is working fine here. I prefer it to 8519

    Hi,

Where did I get my RealTek UAD drivers? I found a working set at the excellent and reliable French driver site: Station-Drivers.com. Here's a link: https://www.station-drivers.com/inde...d=3572&lang=en.
With all due respect I've come across downloads that did contain real viruses on that site. No MS imagined threats but real ones.
I use that site quite a lot to but I would hesitate to recommend it to a newbie for instance.

Other then that great info as per usual, Ed.

    Best regards,

    Frank.

Never ran into a virus myself on it and random people can't just upload to the main pages, it's the forum anyone can post stuff on. As for the actual site it's run by moderators and they upload to main pages, not sure how a virus would get on those.

Hey guys, I'm using Windows 10 64-bit Version 1803. The board is ASROCK Fatal1ty Z370 Professional Gaming i7.

After a recent windows update, I am having significant issues with my audio drivers. I still have sound in audio and video files, however, I no longer hear usual windows sounds like plugging in or removing a device, getting notifications or when increasing or decreasing volume using the volume button in the taskbar.

Some audio in games is not played either, like menu sounds in DOOM and Dishonored 2. I uninstalled the drivers and all audio returned to normal with the default windows drivers.

I tried to reinstall the latest drivers available on the ASROCK site: Realtek high definition audio driver ver:8454

I also tried to get the latest drivers available from the first page of this forum. Have also tried 8519 and 8522, both full and UAD...

If I use the windows default drivers, everything works fine. Changing bitrate doesn't work for me either And as soon as I install any of the actual drivers, everything breaks.

I have also tried doing a complete uninstall of the drivers and removing any trace of them using Revo Uninstaller Pro and Driver Fusion to no avail.

Really need some help on this! Any info regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am hoping someone familiar with MSI Laptops ( and UAD Drivers) can point me in the right direction and / or confirm a few things. I just bought a MSI GP63 15.6" Laptop which has a Realtek 0892 Chip (codec) in it according to Device Manager which also supports Nahimic Ver.3, according to the Overview Page for the Laptop (below) but I see no Nahimic App. I see no Realtek Manager App in Control Panel per the Full Driver like my desktop but there is a Realtek Console on the Start Menu (UAD?) which is working but has no adjustments / effects etc.

If I open Nahimic from the Start Menu , it starts to Open then forces Closes itself, same if I use the Realtek Console and click on Nahimic under Sound Effects.. Same thing happens if I use Settings>System>Sound>Other Sound Options, it stays open for 3 secs and then the whole Settings App is Force closed.

MSI has 8443 (UAD , I guess as only 31mb ) on the Support Site but their Help Desk Driver Update App found 8468 a couple of days ago ( seems to be gone again today) but it seems Microsoft Update knows better :) and installs 8412 if I uninstall the Realtek Driver in D.M. and reboot .

I have also tried 8519 from the thread , with no difference and am now thinking I am missing something , do I need to install extra Apps from the M$ Store as well or something ? I see no Nahimic App listed in My Store >what's installed list, should there be one?

    Thanks for any help guys...

Hello, I have two computers, since late 2010 and mid-2011, both come with Windows 7, but now both have Windows 10, both are Asus, therefore they carry Realtek, I've been reading about the HDA and UAD drivers, 'I've I tried to install the UAD 8519 version in the PC of 2011, the result is that it does not install it, it tells me that I already have the best version (8509), I understand that if it is not installed it is because only HDA will make it work?

If UAD does not work on the PC in 2011, I do not think the 2010 PC will work. What will happen in the future when Windows 7 ends its support, Retaltek will stop taking HDA drivers? Will they continue to release new versions for all those PCs that UAD can not carry and that have Windows 10?
