    JohnnyGui,

I think some more information would help as the Audio Manager in system tray can be toggled on/off from the Audio Manager itself using the i icon and then "Display icon in notification area". Are you able to find Audio Manager in Control Panel or/and the Start Menu? See post #2864 for other tips.
It's not in the Control Panel nor in the Start Menu. I just installed the .cab file version 6.0.1.8233 from the OP and was able to open the Audio Manager from the Program Files path to toggle the system tray icon on. Weird thing is that I wasn't able to open the Audio Manager from that directory when I installed the driver from the Realtek website itself.

Is the 6.0.1.8233 version the same as the 2.82 version from the Realtek website?

EDIT: Hold on, when I started the computer today the icon in the system tray is gone again. It's not in the Start up tab in Task Manager. What should I do to make it appear in the systray every time I boot Windows without the Audio Manager window itself opening up?

use the taskmanager in "startup" tab and enable the launch at boot?

That's the thing; it's not even listed there. When I put the RAVCpl64.exe file in the Startup folder, it launches the whole window as well at boot. I only want the systray to appear at boot as it always did.

when you enable the systray in the registry does it stay enabled? and the icon does not appear in the taskmanager startup tab?

The -s parameter should be added outside of the command line's quotation marks.

    Great, this actually worked, thanks!

Hopefully Realtek fixes this in a coming update so that I won't have to do this each time I update the drivers. I have no idea why the recent one is having this issue.

Has the Realtek subwoofer issue been fixed yet?

I saw that Microsoft had said this was going to be addressed earlier in the thread.

I tried the driver that worked with Windows 7, and that didn't work.
Then I deleted that and the sub folders, and tried the Microsoft cab files link, and that didn't work.
I even tried deleting the nVidia audio driver as that supposedly could be a conflict.
Now i'm running the 6.0.1.8186 driver and I still don't have subwoofer output.

Is there any other solution I can try?
