    Cant install Intel RST program

im trying to install intel RST (rapid storage Technology) to try to restore my once blazing fast laptop.
not that it works anyway but the setup keeps asking for .net framework 4.5
but windows comes with .net framework 4.6 & 4.5 and below.
so i tried disabling the windows one and re downloading it and that didnt work, it says already installed.
how do i get around this?

Someone else asked about this.. Intel has to fix their setup program, not much you can do about it.

I don't have an Intel box running Win10, but ...

You might try downloading the appropriate zip file (normally used during a Windows install F6 breakout)
Extract the contents of the zip file and use Device manager to install the driver.

I'm fairly certain the setup program is the thing that requires .Net, not the driver - could be wrong though.

If that doesn't work, try using the Setup program again, but locate where it unpacks the setup files - then try using those files though a Device Mgr driver update, not though the RST setup program.

Good luck, that's all I could think of suggesting.

I already have the driver installed that way but I need the app to disable my rst, I'm trying return my mssd to storage until Intel fixes the acceleration issue

Are you running a RAID setup?

Kinda, I installed windows using the manual drivers so windows world recognise the drive, but now I can't undo it because I can't install the app

You either are or you aren't, you can't 'kind of' run a RAID setup.
