    maybe you could try going to device manager and uninstalling the iPhone and start all over. Do the driver thing described previously and see if it helps.

    Do you have another cord to try? Can you try a different USB port? Look in the plug port on the phone to be sure that there is no lint/crud blocking the contacts. That happened to me once from carrying the phone in the pocket of my jeans.

    Yes I tried 2 cords, and 2 USB ports.

    Do you know anyone who has a PC that would let you plug the in your iPhone to see if it shows up in device manager?

    If the same thing happens on another PC or MAC then it's the iPhone. I hope that's not the case.
