Sound device(s) not appearing Placyback tab
Hello. This is my first post on this forum so I'm a newbie here.
I have strange issue with my playback devices not appearing in the Playback under Sound in Control Panel.
I use a pair of Creative T50 Bluetooth wireless speakers. It worked fine up until about a week ago when suddenly the audio started getting choppy. I rebooted the computer then all of a sudden , the white light on the speaker that shows that it is connected to the computer went off. Long story short, I tried all sorts of things: checked Bluetooth device, it's work. Installed I/O Gear's latest drivers, rebooted, un-paired and re-paired the speakers, moved Bluetooth dongle to another USB port, made computer discoverable via Bluetooth, checked devices, checked services to make sure Windows audio process is running automatically, read other forums.
I went into system restore (which screwed up other programs) and restored to an earlier point and the speakers appeared briefly Sound tab but when I tried to pair up the devices the device disappeared again. Finally, I gave up and reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch, erased partition and did a clean install thinking that would solve the problem for sure but I STILL have the same problem!!
I still can't pair the speakers. Basically whatever I do here's what happens:
The Creative speakers will pair with my laptop and phone. This shows me the speakers are not defective. When I try to pair the speakers with my desktop, when the pairing starts, the indicator on the speakers showing the connection turns off but on the computer, it says the device is paired. The Bluetooth is working fine on the computer (it shows up correctly in control panel and all other settings. When I go to sound devices in control panel, the Bluetooth speakers which used to appear as a device no longer appears. (Yes I did right click and show disabled and disconnected devices)
At this point, I'm completely at a loss as to what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
