Hide system partition that shows in explorer but NOT disk management

    The real solution is deleting the corresponding key from the registry as below:
    • Open RegEdit


    Start -> Type "regedit"

    • Navigate to


    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices

    • If the EFI partitions drive letter is still in registry, delete the value.


    For example: \DosDevices\G:

    This worked for me. Did not try any of the other fixes.

    I just registered to say THANK YOU, because this solved a problem that I was suffering after merging a data volume with system partition (a new case for this to happen, it seems).

    No. This is false. When this particular situation happens, diskmgmt option is greyed out. Otherwise, we could perfectly solve the problem and we would not post anything here LOL.
