A lot of discussion is made about recovery partitions but on Windows 10, they are not as important as on earlier versions.

On Windows 10, they are only used if you use the "reset my pc" option. Since you can do effectively the same from a windows 10 installation drive, you can delete them without any significant impact (other than a bit of time to download windows 10 installer on to a usb stick).

You can also create a barebones usb recovery stick using

control panel, recovery, create recovery drive and select to copy system files.

On my 32gb tablet, I delete all recovery partitions and create a Macrium Reflect image backup instead to another drive as they take up valuable space.

Use minitool partition wizard free and do following


Shrink D drive by 100 gb

Move D drive to right as far as you can.

Move recovery partition to right until next to moved D drive (or delete it altogether)

Expand C drive to fill up unallocated space.

NOTE: I used my scatch disk to demonstrate how it's done. In your case you'd have to shrink 100GB

Only problem with usb recovery drives is they become obsolete each time there is a build upgrade. If you are unsure if you made one since 10586 came out, you should make a new one (and again when Redstone comes out).

My suggestion to you is to leave everything as is except shrink D: and add to C:.
Your PC came with a customized partitions layout from ASUS so those Recovery partitions might have contained code that would allow you to roll back to the factory image. If you delete the Recovery partition, Windows will still be running but will break the ability to recover unless you don't plan to use this option.

FYI, there's different way to re-arrange partitions. Macrium Free can also do it as posted here:

You could copy the 21.14 GB (Recovery Partition to an thumb drive (it's probably the OEM Factory recovery for Win81.)
After a successful copy - delete that partition
Then move and resize (-100 GB) Data ( D: ) to the right
Then move the 350 MB partition to the right
Finally expand C: into the 121.14 GB space

But a question looms ... What are you storing on C: ????
Win10 doesn't take up much room - fully loaded with my favorites programs, my machines, only consume between 25 -> 40 GB
All of my data is stored on another partition.

You might want to run some cleanup utilities

Restart your machine in case there are any system operations pending

Right click, run as administrator TFC

Click the Start button to begin the cleaning up temporary files and folders.
!!!!! Do not work on other things while TFC is running - most applications use some sort of temporary files. Just let TFC run by itself on the machine until it completes.

Restart your machine immediately after TFC completes.

Open and Use Extended Disk Cleanup

I select all items and then press OK. You might want to keep the previous Windows - that's up to you, but it does consume a lot of space. If you delete the previous Windows, you will NOT be able to roll back - if you upgraded more than 30 days ago, that caution does not apply.
