Computer acted up 4 months ago, decided to finally try to fix it
I don't know the model number as I took off the sticker on the bottom, which was a ****ing stupid move, as that has everything I need to know about the ****ing computer when trying to fix it. Sorry for the harsh language, but I'm still frustrated about doing this. But, after looking for YouTube videos, I have come to the thought that it may be a model HP Pavilion 15-f010dx.
Anyways, a few months ago, my computer went through a factory reset.
Reasons:
- I assumed there was malware and viruses on my PC that could not be detected.
- The computer was really slow and deleting tons of files didn't really do much.
I went to sleep for 9 hours, and when I woke up, the factory reset was on 2%. Now, it may have been still working because I had a ton of files, or it actually did freeze somehow, but I did the stupidest thing. I shut off the laptop, and decided to restart the factory reset. It was on 2% again after 5 minutes, so I played a game for an hour, and it was still on 2%. I was furious, and turned it off and gave up, and decided I'd just use the computer normally again the next day. As I turned it on, the loading orb was gone, but the HP logo was still there. After that, the screen just went black, and Windows 10 didn't start. I came to the conclusion the laptop was dead. I got a new laptop, and reinstalled my original stuff from new sources.
A few months later, I decided to grab the laptop again. Everything is working besides the OS startup, the System Restore, and generally booting everything. BIOS setup still works, and some other thing I don't remember. I don't know how to format the hard drive, but I can't anyway, as like I said, the laptop is ****ed. Is there any way I could possibly fix the hard drive or format it so I could install Windows as a completely fresh start?
