Just spent an Hr on ASUS sites - my drivers are up to date for W7
There is no W10 USB drivers showing at all. Is this normal not to have drivers for W10 ?

Can I turn off driver signing now on W7 before I upgrade - or I will again be stuck unable to make changes as can't get USB mouse working

Ahhh I am at Asus right now and there are Win10 Drivers.... assuming you MB Model is correct in your Sig. ?

    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z...Desk_Download/

not for USB in particular but the Chipset Drivers are where the USB stuff comes from AFAIK.

A F8 Boot usually gives you the option to reboot after disabling driver verification , it's option 7 or 8 I think on the menu.

What I meant (sorrry) was that if you set OS to W7 it does list USB drivers but when you set W10 it does not list any for USB. I can check drivers again once I upgrade to W10 ... but need to get USB working on boot up or I can't proceed.

All up to date for W7

Yes for Win7 USB3 needs USB Drivers as they are not Native to Win7 , they are built into Win10 though and handled by the Chipset Drivers from Intel (on my board) like the USB2 ones are in win7 , you may need to update to the latest Intel Chipset Driver 1st for the Intel Ports ?

and Check for Asmedia USB3 Drivers for Win10 too , they have them for my MB (X99)

Legacy USB support is enabled in BIOS - just checked
I have updated all the chipset to W7 drivers
but I can't update top W10 drivers until W10 is working .... chicken & egg situation

I have downloaded all W10 drivers and have them in a folder on desk top ... but concerned may not be so easy to drive PC with no mouse.

    Do you mean this link:
How to Disable Driver Signature Verification on 64-Bit Windows 8.1 or 10 (So That You Can Install Unsigned Drivers)

It talks about 8.1 ... does it work for w7

In any event I have turned signing off - used this process:
Disable Digital Signature in Windows 7, 64 bit

Not sure what you mean by 'No.1 will work in Win 10 ..."

I have now disabled digital signing ............ not to sure how the advanced start up helps ........... I need to get USB working not disable items, or am I missing the point ? (highly likely)

You didn't need to disable Driver Signing in Win7 everything is working there, you needed to do an advance startup in Win 10 when loaded and disable Driver Signing there so the USB Drivers will hopefully get installed , then you will hopefully have a USB mouse working while you install the latest stuff from ASUS.

Did you try a PS2 Mouse or a USB mouse and PS2 Adaptor?

edit: You Did.... had to read thread again , thought for a second I was answer wrong thread....

if you can get to it in Settings under ease of Access you can also make the NumPad arrow keys work as a mouse controller too.
