    Critical Process Died Error

    Hi Guys/Girls
Please could someone help me, I am having trouble on Win10 with my 3G Modem & the Mobile Partner Software (all versions). When I start Win 10 everything works perfectly, but when I start Mobile Partner (any version) my pc becomes slower and sometimes it doesn't pick up the modem.. other times when I connect it shows I am connected but in the notification area it shows "no internet connection". It also just disconnects for no reason when I am connected. Then .. to top it all off at times - about 3 times a day it crashes and shows the error Critical Process Died Error . This is extremely frustrating and I never had this issue on Win 7. I contacted Huawei/Mobile Partner and they sent met a version of Mobile Partner for Win 10... but I face the same issues with it. Is there any ideas on how to fix this issue?
Please Please ... I am so frustrated.

If you are talking about bugcheck 0x000000EF, CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, then post reply following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions .

IMHO it is better to not use TrueCrypt because of this: TrueCrypt

The crash dump is not much informative. But .... it appears that ThinkCentre M57 is not officially supported for windows 10 upgrade. So some problems may occur there. What is the source of the drivers you are using? Please let us know.

Also let us know if it is clean install or an upgrade.

Also, the Windows 10 Driver for Huawei modem provides a list of supported products. Download Software, User guide |
Please make it sure that your device is supported. If not, use a windows 8.1 driver in compatibility mode.

Let us know upto this part. We have to determine the next courses of action depending on those.

Ye it is a clean install and not an upgrade, the drivers are standard drivers from Windows 10 apart from the Modem Drivers that is loaded when I insert the modem device.

Then apparently there is no real cause of the modem throwing a BSOD. Probably something else is playing in? Have a check please.

Enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

    information   Information
    Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

    warning   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

    Tip   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

I tried everything as suggested and no errors were found, so I started playing around with the Mobile Partner settings.. I changed the modem settings in the interface from NDIS to RAS and also set it to GSM preferred instead of WCDMA preferred and now it is actually stable with no problems since I did that.
I am not sure how or even if some of those settings were ther problem but it seems to be okay now.
lease can you explain the difference between NDIS and RAS for me..
