    Printer Problem - Canon MX396

    Hi Guys,

I am currently having a issue getting my canon printer to work. I recently bought a new computer which has come with windows 10 and followed the instructions installing the printer via the windows 10 drivers (taken from the canon website) and the driver installation file completed without error but my printer is not showing up anywhere that I can print with it.

The scanner works fine and under "Devices and Printers" the printer itself does not show but a version called "Canon MX390 series FAX" does. I have also looked in the device manager and under printers it shows both "Canon MX390 Series FAX" and also "Canon MX390 Series". I am completely stumped on what else to do.

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Cheers!

    Have you tried this way
    Start
    Right Click
    Control Panel
    Device and Printers
Scroll down to see if it shows up in there
If it does click on it and put a tick
Hopefully that should make it your default printer
Don't forget to untick the one you don't want

Dos your printer come with an installation DVD ?
if yes, go to Programs and Features > see if your printer is listed.
If yes, right click at it . click Uninstall.
Now insert your printer's DVD and start reinstalling it.
