I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for a second time in Feb. 2016; and then was forced to do a repair install in April 2016 after a Windows 10 Update crashed my system.

I always test each device (printers, external hard drives, camera, MP3 player, Windows Phone, etc.) to make sure that everything is working. Well, a couple days ago (Tues. 5-31-16) I plugged in my Walkman MP3 to transfer some new songs I just recently uploaded from the net, and discovered a major issue. The computer doesn't recognize the MP3 and there's no driver letter. It shows up in Control Panel>Device and Printers>Walkman so it's partially being recognize; however, there are driver errors. Under Device Manager>Portable Device>MTP USB Device and WPD FileSystem Volume Driver each have the following error: "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31){Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."

Figured since I couldn't upload songs to my MP3 player I'd upload them to my Windows Phone. Wouldn't you know it, the same issue. I've tried updating the drives; yet, the system tells me have the latest drivers installed. I've uninstalled the devices, and rebooted. I've spend the last 5 days searching all over the net for a solution and it appears I'm not the only one having this issue.

I don't have a problem with my digital camera, my all-in-one printer, flash drives or my external hard drives appearing under This PC, Device Manager, or Devices and Printers and they all use the MPT USB Device and WPD FileSystem Volume Drivers.

So if there is someone out there that has a solution to this issue it would be greatly appreciated if you could share.
