I agree I believe that too, getting exited about my build next month and having you Guys and Gals working with me who knows mabye after that I can help some one (alittle)
Peter, you already have. You may not realize it, but just by being willing to answer a whole slew of questions and trying suggestions, you/we/us are helping the next guy. Every one of these is a little different, and we all learn. You're a "good patient"!

Your doing a great job, and learning lots of things in the process Peter!
I am proud you have not done a nose dive into your keyboard and passed out... lol

You on on the team already Sir. You are learning the basic's and what order they need to be in.

Now you can use those for someone else.

Does anybody have the post of simrick's "to do" list bookmarked? It'll save me wading thru War and Peace to find it.

Peter, I'm sure things got busy for you today - no problem, we can continue tomorrow. I will be delayed in the morning, so I'd like to leave some instructions, if I may.
@f14tomcat can help you through the steps.

    - MBAM+rootkit scan log results

    - sfc /scannow (DISM if necessary)

    -ADWCleaner

    -Run Ccleaner on the registry

    -Screenshots in Ccleaner:
    Windows Startup
    Firefox
    Internet Explorer
    Tasks

It appears that you may have experienced an incomplete/failed RESET because you still have 3rd-party applications on the system, and they should have been removed with a complete RESET. So, any program that doesn't work should be uninstalled and reinstalled; that should get it working.
