    Hi guys! :)
    Optimizer Pro, Mindspark, SmileyWeLove, Driver Updater, SlimWare - all PUPs; not worth a reinstall IMO. A lot of PUPs found in that log, but all repeats. Mindspark is a PITA too.

    The OP has installed MBAM with the free trial, so he currently has active protection. I see Trend Micro is the AV. (Not the best, in my experience, but perhaps they have gotten better with time...)

    I would delete everything that was found by MBAM, and then run ADWCleaner. Delete everything it finds as well.

    One question: Did the OP enable Rootkit before running the scan, and was it a custom scan to check the entire HDD (plus any connected external drives)? If not, it needs to be run again - these PUPs appear to be too-well embedded in the system, and so, have been on there for quite a while. Then, Ccleaner on the registry, check the startup items listed in Ccleaner for the browsers and Windows, and I would finish with an ESET Online Scan, and then everything should be good.

    All logs need to be posted; if anything malicious is found, further evaluation may be necessary (including a clean install, but at this point I don't see the necessity).

    Sorry for the long set of instructions, but I am about to log off for the night. :)
    @simrick Not according to the log he posted.

    Code:
    <options>
    <memory>enabled</memory>
    <startup>enabled</startup>
    <filesystem>enabled</filesystem>
    <archives>enabled</archives>
    <rootkits>disabled</rootkits>
    <deeprootkit>disabled</deeprootkit>
    <heuristics>enabled</heuristics>
    <pup>enabled</pup>
    <pum>enabled</pum>
    </options>

    Peter,
    You do not need to do a clean install !

    Please do not install any new program's until the cleaning up process is finished.

    Yes, Peter, Computiac is correct in saying a clean install is not needed at thsi point. Please do not do something you can't put back. A clean clean install will put you back to ground zero. Please read or re-read my post #46 above. CPU - Page 5 - Windows 10 Forums
