If you are just trying to protect yourself from known malicious sites, I would suggest getting rid of the VPN and using OpenDNS for your DNS servers on your NIC. That, coupled with the Firefox browser, will protect you from most every known malicious site out there.

Your AMD Sempron K140 is a 2GHz dual-core chip and you have 6GB RAM in this system. That VPN is a problem. Yes, I would get rid of it.

Please uninstall the VPN, and then download Java v8 without the VPN. One thing at a time.

    Thank you.
Now, if you want to run the Belarc Advisor, let me explain it to you please.

Belarc Advisor is a PC Auditor. It gives you a system inventory, so to speak. It can be very useful, when you need to know certain information: what's under the hood. But, it contains some very private information which should never be posted on a public forum, including things like IP addresses and software keys. So, if you want to run it now, go ahead, and it will open the system audit in your default browser. You can then save it (File>Save) to your documents for future reference. But please, do not post it here. We do not need this information.

When you are finished, I will give you some directions on how to set your NIC for OpenDNS. But I need to attend to a couple other things first, so please be patient with me.
