I don't know, maybe when my brain slows down
Well I am outta here for a while .....need to feed Bella....and then pass out ....see you all in a while....lol :)
Peter, I just want to say, you are a trooper! When you need a break, you have to tell these guys to bugger off, because they are WARRIORS and they never stop!
Just FYI - the way TOR is setup, it gives you complete anonymity on the web. As soon as you go adding Flash, or Java or a search engine, you start the tracking of others on you. That's why it recommends against that.
I would like to re-post the screenshot of your desktop, and circle everything that can be deleted, so clean it up a bit. Please be patient while I do this.
In the meantime, thanks TC and Mike for taking Peter through this! And thanks Steve for keeping the thread manageable. I think, based on what I've seen from the logs, everything is looking quite good, and a clean install will *not* be necessary.
The only thing I will mention, is the cleaner part of Ccleaner: Peter, you may go looking for a lot of downloaded files, and they will no longer exist, because the Download Folder was cleaned. Just a heads up; you'll need to re-download some stuff, if it was not moved into your Documents/Photos, or other personal folders.
I think we can skip the Ccleaner screenshots I was looking for, unless we find some popups of missing DLLs or some other problem, after a reboot (i.e. a leftover task trying to run, but not found). But, that hasn't happened so far, so I think we're good.
The system should be humming now Peter. Can you confirm this?
I will post back shortly with a screenshot of your desktop and items to remove. :)
Thank you Mike - Yes TC (like a TOMCAT) sorta kinda
If this is all done how do I find you Guys/Gals again? I would like to stay intouch and ask questions about computer parts I will do research this month for a build in July thats if you would like to
@simrick, I don't believe he has done a Check for Updates. And the only "backup" he has is 2 restore points we made. No formal backup.
Peter, you should consider getting an external 1TB drive for backups, about $60-70. And setup a backup plan with something like Macrium (free). Macrium Reflect Free
Plenty of people here use it and can help with the setup.
Whoops sorry simrick I didn;t look to see who posted yes it is moving fast Thank You
