Thanks, badrobot.....
I'm listening badrobot but more importantly I do what they say or I try to anyway because of these guys I will do my first build next month Thank You
Peter, in your system specs, you asked "is there a way to post the entire Speccy?". Yes.
In the upper left corner, click FILE
Click "Save to Text"
Click "Desktop", leave the name the same, click "Save"
The file will be on your Desktop Screen. Right click it and choose "Send to" and "Compressed Folder".
This will appear on the desktop.
Come back into this Forum and go to the bottom where it says "Quick Reply". Type a note if you wish.
Click the Browser button on your taskbar (at bottom of the screen). The browser will minimize, not close. Left click and HOLD on the Zip file (compressed file) on your desktop. Drag the file down to the Browser Icon on the taskbar, don't let go yet! The Browser window will open back up. While STILL HOLDING, drag the file up to the Quick Reply box and let go! You will see an attachment. Post the reply. Anyone wishing to view your Speccy data can download the Zip file. Posting it raw would be a very long post, many pages.
Done.....

Just spent the last twenty minutes reading this thread.
I've just gotta say you guys are saints.
Peter, I'm sure things got busy for you today - no problem, we can continue tomorrow. I will be delayed in the morning, so I'd like to leave some instructions, if I may.
@f14tomcat can help you through the steps.
- MBAM+rootkit scan log results
- sfc /scannow (DISM if necessary)
-ADWCleaner
-Run Ccleaner on the registry
-Screenshots in Ccleaner:Windows Startup
Firefox
Internet Explorer

It appears that you may have experienced an incomplete/failed RESET because you still have 3rd-party applications on the system, and they should have been removed with a complete RESET. So, any program that doesn't work should be uninstalled and reinstalled; that should get it working.
See you later! :)
Hi, all:
I confess to being 12 or 13 pages and a few hundred replies late...
... and I think Windows may have been reset or refreshed or reinstalled?
And I'm not sure if this thread is about overclocking or cleaning malware or building a new system.
So, I may have missed something.
But the only MBAM scan log that I see posted was not "right" -- according to the log, MBAM only scanned 1 file.

So, if it is still relevant (IOW if you are still looking for malware on this system), @petra9999, then here are some instructions for locating and exporting a SCAN LOG (in this case we would want to see the SCAN log after a THREAT scan); and this tutorial explains a bit more. NOTE: we need to see the log as a "*.txt" file, not as an XML file, please.
How to get SCAN logs or PROTECTION logs:
(Export log to save as a txt file for posting in the forum when requested)
- Open MBAM.
- Click on the HISTORY tab > APPLICATION LOGS.
- Double-click on the SCAN LOG which shows the date and time of the scan just performed (or the one you are asked to post), OR on the PROTECTION LOG showing the detection you are reporting (or the one that you are asked to post).
- Click EXPORT.
- Click TEXT FILE (*.txt)
- In the "Save File" dialog box which appears, click on DESKTOP.
- In the FILE NAME box, type a name for your saved scan or protection log.
- A message box named "File Saved" should appear, stating that "Your file has been successfully exported".
- Click OK.
- Please attach the saved log to your next reply here in this thread.
If you have reinstalled Windows or are no longer concerned about malware, then please feel free to disregard the above suggestions.
Cheers,
MM
