Xbox One Controller Wireless PC Adapter help.
I can no longer get the XboxOne controller to function properly with the wireless adapter.
A couple months ago I was already running Windows 10 x64 from the free update from Windows 8.1 and I purchased the Wireless Controller Adapter for the Xbox One Controller. When I plugged it in, it worked perfectly. It worked in every game, it worked with Kodi, and even the sound worked. It showed up under playback devices as a headphone device and my controllers are the remodeled versions with the 3.5mm jack. To sum up, it just worked perfect.
Two weeks ago, I reformatted the PC, skipping loading 8.1 first and updating, I installed a retail version of Windows 10 Pro x64 onto a fresh SSD. Ive downloaded every update Windows has and I cannot get the controller/wireless adapter to work right at all.
It no-longer shows in device manager as Xbox One Controller.
Some games work while others behave as if the D-Pad button is being pressed to the right.
Kodi also behaves as if D-pad is stuck to the right.
Nothing shows up under Playback Devices in the Audio section.
I am just clueless as to why and how it worked perfectly and now it doesn't after reformatting.
My current OS version and Build are:
Windows 10 Pro x64
Version - 1511
Build - 10586.318
The only thing I have tried is uninstalling the adapter and the driver and let Windows re-download the driver. That did not seem to help.
I would appreciate any and all help.
