Also, check one other thing to make sure Windows isn't using your "default printer" as outlined by this setting: Attachment 97704

I just keep going through different things in my head for you to check. Let us know the result.

    Hi:

    Still no luck, eh? Bummer.

Sorry, I lost track of this thread.
I'm on my Win7 box this weekend.
If @play2mefish does not respond before then, I will try to locate that setting for you when I get back on my Win10 box tonight or early tomorrow.

    >>Another, really, really stupid question on my part: I assume you installed the HP software from and are logged into Windows from an Admin account?

Did you try to disable spooling and switch to direct printing?

Control panel; devices and printers; right click on printer; printer properties; advanced; Print directly to printer.
If it works, then it is a spooling (Windows) issue.

"Print Directly to Printer" is grayed out.

It is found under the settings, devices, printer and scanners, on the right at the bottom of the screen.

"Print Directly to Printer" is grayed out.

Maybe this could be of any help:

If not, I am afraid I have no further ideas to this issue.
(it was already said in the thread: try first to fix the problem with the USB connection, before concentrating on network printing).

Thanks for your help...I already tried connecting and setting up via USB with the same negative results.
