Anyone know if Windows 10 10041 is still updating Hardware Drivers?
That's what I want to know, have they fixed it so you can say no, I don't want to update my hardware drivers!
Every time it does my sound quits working.

Hi there
This is a MEGA issue - there's no way to stop automatic updates. After several updates I have to roll back the Audio driver to get sound again.
Hopefully Ms will bring back the old panel where you could select updates to install (or not install).
Cheers

In my experience, when I install Realtek HD Audio driver 2.75 and AMD 14.12 Omega drivers WU doesn't update them. It's saying that Realtek sound driver is ready to install but it never does. My guess is that those drivers are newer than the ones from MS so it doesn't "have to" update them.
Same as JImbo. I have had a couple of problems with updates replacing my chosen, and desired, drivers.
There is a setting in 10041 under Devices called "Download over Metered Connections". However, they seem to have removed the option to set a metered connection for Ethernet connections, and it's only available on Wifi. I hope they fix this in the next build.
Thanks, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the future.
My problem is the only drivers that work with my Sound Blaster Audigy sound card are the ones that came with it.
I have the disk and even copied it to my hard drive so I don't have to get it out all the time, but if I go to Creative and download the latest drivers from them, I get the same problems I do when Windows updates them.
I just wish I could say leave my sound drivers alone and have it stick.
