Just wondering- what build is your Win 10? (Windows key + R, winver).
It's just a few lines of Autohotkey script which I wrote and compiled.
Vrs 1703 (15063.1088).
Mm- the problem I had had disappeared by that build. But - different topic- that is an older build- I'd expect 1709 or even 1803 now... have you disabled Windows update?
I believe it's on. Why's that?
Hi, first check your Update History.. the date of the last update with any failures should be shown.
If you have no record of failures and recent updates, probably nothing to fix, so you could ignore what follows, except for the possibility of manually upgrading (below).
If WU looks ok, an outside possibility is that MS hasn't offered an upgrade 'cos it deems your PC is incompatible.
Second, you can try a manual check for updates and see what happens.
But note: upgrades can be non-trivial (= can go badly wrong- or simply fail), so we recommend as ever making sure you have a current disk image (e.g. using Macrium Reflect - free) before doing that.
If you find you have problems you can run the Windows Update Troubleshooter (Settings, search for trouble); if still problems the Tutorial section includes a tutorial on resetting WU.
After that, if still problems, you should
- run chkdsk c: /scan
- run SFC /SCANNOW from an admin command prompt
You also can manually upgrade by downloading the iso - details in the Tutorial section.
I have similar problem.
Insert CD/DVD go to "this PC", disc shows up in appropriate tray inserted, open file, press autoplay or setup.exe
and absolutely nothing happens.
Game inserted will not start up. Nothing/zilch.
OS Windows 10 pro x 64 bt. release 1903. 2 drawers CD and DVD, neither work. i can insert a cd/dvd and watch a video or same and play music.
No pop-ups asking what I wish to do with the disc.
Bloody nightmare.
