Unable to open TWAIN source

Hello,

same here. Using a Brother J785DW for some years now. First in Windows 7 and now in Windows 10 20H2.
Last year suddenly scanning stopped working in erp (via TWAIN). Reinstalled driver, working again. Now for 1-2 weeks scanner stops working again in erp (via TWAIN).

Reinstalled printer/driver via usb and wlan, set system variable for "TWAIN" to "C:\Windows\twain_32", added all subdirectories, installed "VueScan" and "PaperPort".
Using PaperPort scanner is shown as TWAIN and WIA. Both works. Unfotunately it is not seen in the erp Twain Test software and the erp itself. selection windo is still empty.

i am running out of ideas.

We're having the same problem after our Windows 10 20h2 update. Our Twain devices cannot be opened.

Has anybody resolved this?

I had same problem with my CanoScan lide60 before. The reason caused this problem is that there is a lock/unlock switch on the back of scanner. This switch was accidently locked/half locked by me, so that's why it said can not get connection. while I put the switch to UNLOCK position, everything went well, the scanner worked perfectly.

note: the lock/unlock switch is on the back(bottom) of scanner, not on the side of scanner(for my LIDE 60).

Setting the PATH variable to C:\Windows\twain_32\CNQL25\ helped on my Windows 11 (21H2) with CanoScan LiDE 25 and CanoScan Toolbox 4.9.3.2 too. Thanks!!
