    Help with Bluetooth requested

My Blueetooth service (for a speaker) suddenly ceased to work. It appears that 'Bluetooth now requires further installation". What do I do for that? The speaker is detected and reports 'ready to pair' but no pairing takes place.

Further information: I tried updating all the Blue tooth drivers but they were reported as the best available. I saw that the checkbox for 'Bluetooth will be allowed to find the PC' kept becoming unchecked, and that 'Bluetooth devices will see this PC' had a yellow triangle against it. I also tried connecting my Windows phone to the speaker, which worked fine, so it does seem to be an issue with the PC.

Update. I tried again today to pair my speaker, with no success and popup error messages BUT have just taken delivery of a Bluetooth mouse. It paired and is working fine! What do we make of that? I have another, identical Bluetooth speaker so am going to charge it up and see if that pairs OK.

The mouse still works but tends to stop everyso often, which is usually put right bya restart.

Both speakers behave the same. Eventually they pair and connect but the sound comes from the PC, not the speaker.

Both speakers are behaving much the same. Eventually they pair and then connect, but the sound still comes from the computer, not the speaker.

The mouse is still working, but not reliably. I keeps stopping. Sometimes repeatedly clicking buttons gets it going again, but if not restarting the computer usually works,

I note that the update we have just had installed some improvements for Bluetooth --- the do not seem to have helped.

The most recent update seems to have added yet another Bluetooth problem. There appears to be a new procedure, presumably introduced by the recent update and affecting my Lumia phone. The phone is detected but when trying to pair there is a popup which I have not seen before. It asks if a code it displays matches one on the phone. It does, every time, but when I click 'yes' the popup says the code is not right and to pair the phone again. I have tried about 20 times with the same result. The update seems to have added another fault to the dodgy Bluethooth service.

Further update: I bought a Bluetooth dongle following advice. It does not work. It shows as unable to install and the Bluetooth service is still not working properly 'further installation required'.

    Advice anyone?
