What is the reason for getting portable touchscreen devices if your keyboard is bigger than the device itself?

Especially with a tablet, one might want to do some actual work like compose/edit a document or a long email or work on a spreadsheet. At those times a keyboard comes in very handy as opposed to using an on-screen keyboard. If you don't have the need then fine, you don't need/want it, but others might.

Haha.. I found that bluetooth keyboard I was talking about. My wife is just using it as a stand for the ipad. It's not a bad brand, but it's not a good performer either.

Yeah. some people use keyboards on phones and that's what I don't understand. If you want to carry around a keyboard, just get a laptop. A lot easier to use. :) same goes for tablets.
