    Looking at the disk management and I am assuming you want to remove the drive letter D:
    Counting from left to right, D: drive is partition 8 (MSR partition is not shown in disk management)
    From Admin Command:
    1. diskpart
    2. select disk 0
    3. select partition 8
    4. remove
    5. exit

    @Cerberus - is it safe to delete this partition? I don't want to have any booting issues.
    @topgundcp - I want to remove drive letter I.

    Please see below comparison of list part and list vol

    As you can see 128mb MSR partition is not listed on the vol list but is on the part list.

    Yeah it is quite safe to delete it. It is there for future use and you can recreate it anytime with diskpart commands.

    Actually, what would be really good to do is to backup the whole drive using Macrium Reflect Free, clean installing Windows 10, then restoring C drive (and other data drives) only from backup image. Then you would have a nicely setup hdd.

    Hi Kruk,

    Like you I am also new to this forum .

    Just curious to know how you determined that it is 128MB?

    Would like to see the full screenshot of Partition Wizard to check whether it appears in it. Also right click on the Local Disk I and show me the menu that appears.

    Do not delete the MSR partition. It is there for a purpose. It is a Windows requirement for GPT drives especially the boot drives.
    You should only try to get rid of the drive letter and not that partition.

    @topgundcp
    Please see below. The letter can't be removed:
    GPT Reserved Partition showing as Local Disk-2016_03_06_10_30_311.png

    I can't select this volume as this partition is not on the volume list.
    @jumanji

    Another screenshot:

    You can see the size in Diskpart and Partition Wizard

    I really don't want to delete the partition, just to remove the letter so this is not showed any longer in the explorer and Double Commander.

    OK. I don't know how you got this partition assigned to I:
    However, you can delete this partition and re-create it then it should remove the drive letter:
    1. diskpart
    2. select disk 0
    3. select partition 3
    4. delete partition override
    5. create partition msr size=128
    6. exit

    Thanks

    I followed your instruction. Managed to delete the partition and recreate it. Once finished it was not showed any more in the explorer. However after the reboot this is appearing now again as letter H. Back to square one as again I can't remove the letter in diskpart.
