Windows 10: SSD issue Solved

    I'm going to go ahead and get a new SSD and just toss that ADATA junk in the garbage and do as you said, disconnect every hard drive before doing a clean install and I'll hopefully update everything and make sure everything is running good before i reconnect my other SSD/HD and hopefully everything goes well. thanks for the support guys, I've been a member of the windows 7/8/10 forums for awhile and the support is just amazing here. i really appreciate it.

    I did ask just before if you tried the Samsung with OS you said i tried this. I would remove ADATA completely i do not know if you still have warranty and if it will cover this failure that will eventually happen.

    If you tried a new install on another good known HDD with the same occurrence it may not have anything to do with any corruption in the OS and as said either hardware issues or drivers issues then. Reinstalling and putting back all the same software and drivers does not eliminate a cause. Think i asked was anything added to system hardware or new drivers or updates when this happened or just all of a sudden ?

    I'm obviously not good with wording some of this, I apologize but i didn't ever do it with the samsung one.. it could very well be a non os issue but I'm willing to try another SSD due to some of the errors this one has been showing with the smart test and plus it's not an SSD i got recently.. my samsung one i got a month ago and this ADATA one is a bit old now.. 2 years. so I think it's worth a jump to a new one.

    Question, besides you saying about shutdown and startup issues, but how did it perform without games being played, was that the only time you said it would freeze ? O.k. Brandon, i was bit confused because i did not reread enough. My thoughts are towards the Video card or drivers usually in this case.

    it has done some weird things without games being played .. like Microsoft edge wouldn't even close at one point.. i don't even know if it's just me being paranoid but it seemed like issues just wracked up after this all started to occur but it seems to be ok right now that I'm not downloading any games or doing anything besides browsing the web ..

    Jds63 if he wants to install a new SSD and do a Clean Install, then that is the BEST method to fix any issues he has. And it sounds like that is what he wants to do also.....ok?

    I have nothing to lose as i said before, nothing to lose at all so I'm just going to forget that backup process and leave all the junk behind and just do a fresh install on my new SSD.

    Sure fine, as long as it does solve the issue, i was unaware maybe from not reading his posts well if he even tried it at first but he did with a HDD. So it seems it did not solve it. Idea of what causes freezes if not just due to Origin games.
