This is a very vague question, so give us the details of your issue.

As for the safety, flashing a BIOS is really nothing to worry about anymore. It doesn't hurt to update, and they are usually very easy to recover in the event something goes wrong, like a power outage. Fear of BIOS updating should have died out a few years ago.
I would say for BIOS motherboard we were to a point that it was very safe to update, However with these new UEFI motherboards we are seeing people brick them fairly regularly. This is a serious issue with notebooks since even if you can get to the motherboard you may find that pesky BIOS Battery soldered to the mother board. So updating BIOS/UEFI does again need to be taken with great need and care. I mostly have seen these Bricked notebooks happen using windows based Updating programs.

OK re-reading the OP..Are we to assume that reflash is not update? are you trying to recover the bios? if so we need much more information to help. What computer / motherboard / did you change bios parameters ? if there is a way to help we can try. Just let us know more details.

Can you turn on the computer?

crumbs...if the OP has bricked the computer there's always a silver lining.....I did the same and taught myself how build computers - it's quite easy when everything is demystified - nuts and bolts..errrmm with some volts.

Be very careful and absolutely sure you must flash the BIOS. I have done over hundreds of BIOS flash.
Last one I did on a HP Desktop about three weeks, it crashed the BIOS and need a motherboard replacement!
There are services that will fix a bad bios update. I think the web site can be found by doing a search for badflash.

Yes, I know about that. In the earlier day, I send for BIOS chip replacement. Unfortunately, the BIOS chip is soldered and we can use attachment to reprogram the BIOS. The price of used motherboard was $45.00! We went for the motherboard replacement!

I think a new $45 motherboard trumps fooling with an old one. There most likely was something wrong with the old one anyway to cause a bad flash. BTW, I read Peanuts everyday. Even though they are decades old I get a kick out of Snoopy and the gang.
