defective gpu or faulty psu?

    You could still check it if you have a friend who will let you plug your card into his PC. :) Just put a high graphics game on and try to run it.

    You may want to leave the door open just in case he tries to murder you when he sees that red screen.

    red screen is deffo gpu related system ram and cpu will blue screen , so assuming all else is ok your gpu is dead :/

    If a Radeon gives a red screen, does an nVidia card give a green one? :)

    The gpu and the psu were worling properly, updating my motherboard bios is what fixed the issue.
