    ASUS VK278Q Monitor Webcam

    Hi All,

I have a Asus VK278Q Monitor with integrated webcam
    https://www.asus.com/us/Commercial-Monitors/VK278Q/

The software that came with the webcam was called LifeFrame and I remember it last working with Windows 7
I tried to install it with on Windows 10 (64 bit) I currently have but its not compatible (installs ok but does not open) and I don't see any other options on the Asus site for it.

Tried opening using Run as Admin and nothing
    Tried Compatibility Troubleshooter and nothing

I remember the app for this being real crappy too.

Any other way to install this webcam via Windows 10 and just have windows detect the webcam for using in apps??
Anyone else had this problem happen and resolved it??

    Please Help!!

    Hi,

    Give this a try:

    1. Update ASUS MultiFrame Software
      Download ASUS MultiFrame Software

    2. Install ASUS LifeFrame 3.1.13
      Download ASUS LifeFrame 3.1.13

    Hi

Did you find a solution to the webcam not working on Windows 10, as I'm also having the same issue.

    Thanks,
    Roger

    Webcam Working

    Hi

I have had several months of trying to get my webcam working and have recently found an unexpected solution to the problem. All to do with Fast Startup.

I hope it works for you and I give you a link to my post.

Writing from 2021, I'm using the camera on my VK278Q with Teams right now. It didn't show until I installed an old USB A->B cable from my docking station to the USB-B port on the monitor, but here we are and it's behaving and shows as "ASUS USB2.0 Webcam" in Teams.

I have noticed that Win10 has been very permissive as of late and will operate with basically anything I've plugged into it. Moreso, this is my work laptop and they have it locked down pretty tight.
