    Consistent cursor lag

    Hi guys,

I have a M705 Marathon mouse and I have started to see the problem where if I move the mouse in circles continuously, the cursor would freeze in a position for a split second, then continue moving in ordinary fashion. I removed my mouse and tried it with my touchpad, and found that it has the same problem as well.

I do not know what may have caused this, and have been searching for an answer for a while. I have tried reinstalling drivers for the mouse, looking at touchpad settings, and many other things, but I can't seem to find the answer.

My laptop specs are: Windows 10, Acer e5-771g-50jp, 2 GB Nvidia Ge-Force graphics, 8GB RAM, 1 TB HD

    Thanks :)

This is a wireless mouse with a USB Receiver, always possible something can be disturbing the signal between the receiver and the mouse.
Make sure mouse and the mouse pad it is on is clean, sensor at bottom of the mouse. Are the batteries good ?

Batteries are good, and I just cleaned the sensor.
I don't think this is a problem with the mouse, since I am also having this problem with the touchpad on my laptop.
May be connected to Windows 10?

I do not have a touchpad, but check in Mouse and Touchpad settings. Left click the Start menu select Settings go to Devices find it there. Go over some of the settings for cursor. Make sure have all system updated drivers for this system.

I have already done all of these things. It is a very odd issue...

O.k. so both the touchpad and M705 mouse make the cursor freeze at times, is this correct ?

If this happens often enough, follow one of these steps to see how it reacts in safe mode the one through advanced options is your best bet, let me know

The problem did not occur in Safe Mode (YES) but is back after a normal boot-up.
I don't see any slow down when I circle the mouse, but the CPU usage will go up 1% while doing this.
