You can of course move other files to the SSD. Just make sure you leave appr. 20% of the SSD free - for wear leveling.

Remember the Old Engineer's adage "If it ain't broke Don't Fix It". Still good advice.
You can always move data later if you need to.
I tend to move data etc for other reasons --having the OS / applications on its own SSD / partition makes the whole OS easier to restore / backup without having to worry about Multi-media files / other data etc.
