    jimbo, I don'y have the kind of requirements that you describe. A 1TB disk can probably hold all my data for the rest of my life.

    Hi there

    I was just mentioning cases where SSD makes 100% sense and cases where iy doesn't buy you anything other than empty your wallet.

    Loads of people DO have NAS etc so I was just saying - fine for the OS but not for the data pools.

    You can use any SSD. 128GB should be the minimum size but 256GB is better. I would get one of these. Mushkins are great.
