Unable to install Epson printer or Brother Labeller

Hi since changing to W10 I am unable to install the above on my lap top, both worked fine on my old vista machine, little notice comes saying something like ..incompatable with the O.S, is there away to get around this ?
The printer, an Epson DX4400 is a few years old I know, but it is still very good and I dont really want to get rid of it, any help / suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Vista came in 2006 and Windows 10 in 2016.
Try Installing the Driver in compatiablity mode.Right click the Driver setup file and select properties>compatiablity>Run this in Windows vista.
50-50 chances that it should work.

Epson lists drivers for the DX4400 for Windows 10:

    Epson Stylus DX4400 : Drivers & Software

These are 64 bit, but there are also 32 bit ones.

They're from 2012, which means that they are probably Windows 7 drivers, but Epson seems to think that they should work.

As you don't list a model number for your Brother labeller, we can't look for a driver. I have had good luck with driver support for a couple of Brother laser printers. I don't know about labellers; if Windows Update already had a driver (like for my old HL 5150D), I imagine that you'd have it already.

An Experience: I have a client who got a new computer with Win10. He had a Dell Inkjet printer several years old and couldn't get drivers for it [Dell has partnered with Canon for Inkjet printers]. I was given a Dell Laserjet printer a few years ago that had never been used so decided to try it out, works fine once I went to Windows Update to get Win7 and Win10 drivers even though Dell didn't have them [only for Vista and earlier]. All that to say try the Windows Update service for the labeler. I'd assume that there's enough business users of that machine there may be drivers for it.

I've had luck with the Compatibility mode for older devices and software. I have one application that installed in Win 10 using XP compatibility mode.

All the Dell ink jet printers I saw (I use to work the Dell forums) were made by Lexmark.

So were the Compaq printers I installed back in the late '90s.
