Video intensive, data intensive system. hoping for 10 sec or less. No financial constraint on your build, only live life once.
Check out the Intel 750 SSD. Very interesting but I gave up due to its cost! My wife did not approve this transaction, the new motherboard, and other equipment.

I've read that Intels are tops. Alas, money IS an object for me and I'm left to get the bang for my buck out of Samsung EVO. I think OP's got something to work with though on the m2 Samsung 950 or that Intel.

I think the make matters little. I own a whole collection of SSDs from Intel to Mushkin. I cannot really observe any differences. If any, I like the Mushkins. They are cheap and fast and when you have a problem, they send you a new one.

Thanks. I have a whole collection of 2 Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB drives - LOL. Am bearing your advice in mind now that I've bought all the RAM our 3 machines can hold from Crucial (yeah, brand may not matter much there. either).:)

Never an issue with defects/returns or anything else - Customer service is the best.

No issues with the 950 and drivers for W10. Just be sure your mobo supports M2 socket at x4 pcie lanes so as to get maximum performance from the drive. There are adapters you can get to plug directly into pci if no M2 socket on board.

So I could do this with older board, just get a PCI adapter to M2 Socket .Have a older system with Q9650,maybe get another year out of it before upgrade.

Check mobo/cpu specs - my GUESS is the 950 will NOT work on an older board.
