    Printer not working

I am new to this group and not overly computer literate! I have installed Windows 10 after having 8.1. I cannot get my printer to work it is a Kodak one wii fii enabled but since installing windows 10 it will not print via wii fii. It has a couple of times printed via the usb cable but more often than not wont print. I wondered if it was anything to do with it picking up which port I am trying to print from. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas what I can do. Was thinking of getting rid of Windows 10 and going back to 8.1 but dont know how to do it. Thanks: confused:

Did your printer come with an installation disk?, if it did try reinstalling it. If not search online for the driver for your printer model and ensure you have the latest driver. I had a number of problems following updating to W10, all were solved by going to the Lenovo site and getting my PC up to date with the latest drivers.

If there is no windows 10 driver avaliable on the Kodak supportpage

    Try this
First thing, you need to get those drivers into Windows 10. Right click on the .exe and select 'Properties'. Under Compatibility tab, check 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: *select the Windows version the .exe file is designed for* and check 'Run this program as an adminstrator'. Apply the changes. Now try to run the .exe and see if it will install.

If the above worked, see if you can use the printer. If not, it should have at least installed the driver certificate into Win10.

You can try the following to see if it will resolve the issue:

    1) go into Settings>Devices
    2) In Printer and Scanners, click 'Add a printer or scanner' - let it run
    3) It should show 'The printer that I want isn't listed' - click on this
    4) You can try to select 'My printer is a little older. Help me find it' and click next
    5) See if it shows in the list now - if it does, it should be highlighted - click next
    6) You will then be brought to a driver installation screen
    7) It should be grouped by Manufacturer. Find 'Kodak' and see if the driver certificate is present, highlight it and click next
    8) It should start the install and you should be done.

However, if it does not list the printer with the 'My printer is a little older...', you will have to search for it by one of the other methods. The easiest would be to assign a static IP to the network printer via router. That way you can input that IP into the TCP/IP find field and it should be detected. Also makes it easy to access the web controls to network printer. Follow the prompts and it should be like above.
