    Not seeing a webcam


    My new service from Centurylink can't connect to any no-ip address at my daughter's home. But I can connect to a no-ip address at another home, both places have been using webcams with webcamxp and no-ip domains for several years. My Galaxy S5 can connect on 4G but not when on my wi-fi.
    I can connect to my daughters cam on my wi-fi using her ip number. Any ideas on what is going on here?

    I have finally solved this problem. I had the no-ip app on my laptop set to use the same host name as my daughter's pc and I did not notice the checkbox was selected.

Why Is My Webcam Always On?

My webcam seems to be on even when the computer is off. It has a ring of white leds around the lens and they have been shining all the time, whether the pc is on or off. How's that possible I wonder?
