Hi,
The HD controller of the HDs not the MB.
Cheers,
I have two internal hard drives - the C and E. Both are functioning perfectly. Do is the DVD.
Sorry, I am a newbie at all of this but how exactly do I "Ok try this then, at a Admin prompt type this WinSAT formal might have to reboot after"
I take it fried controllers in the drives is not a good thing...
Hi,
It isn't good news indeed.I take it fried controllers in the drives is not a good thing...
Surge protection only works once if it works at all.
If you have valuable data on those drives and have identical healthy drives then I can help you. If not you just have to accept your loss.
Sorry to bring bad news but that's just how it is.
Cheers,
They were essentially back-up drives so while I have lost some source data I can back-up onto new drives which I am about to go out and buy. There's nothing critical so I wouldn't need to pull them apart and cannibalise parts.
Thanks for your assistance - it really is appreciated.
