Windows 10: Blackscreen at startup Solved

    Blackscreen at startup

I have a Samsung laptop. I am running Windows 10 Pro 64x. First, I have 2 drivers installed but I don't get why.

Here's my problem. When I start my laptop, the Windows logo appear with the loading circle for about 5 second. After that, everything comes black for a good minute. Then, my login screen appear, asking for my password. I am 100% sure it has something to do with my deivers because I tried a couple things. I uninstalled them both, then when the pc started, everything was fine, no blackscreen... Obviously the resulotion wasn't good because I had no drivers. I took about 2 minutes, everything came black and suddenly the resolution was good and both drivers were installed all by themselves. The thing is that the blackscreen is now black when I boot my pc.

What can I do ? I am actually out of solutions... Thanks guys, I appreciate your time reading this in advance.

Let me know if you need a video or more informations about this issue.

    100 % fix.

    AMD power saver

If you have an AMD graphics card, there is one more step you can try. Go to the Start Menu and type "regedit". Open regedit and click the Edit button at the top of the screen, then click on Find. Type "EnableULPS" and click "Find Next". EnableULPS will be highlighted in the list of registry options.

Double click it, and change the value from 1 to 0. This will disable a power saving feature that switches off your dedicated graphics card when it's not needed and this will mean your laptop consumes more battery power, so only do this if your laptop spends most of its time plugged in.

All is as expected. U have
MD Radeon HD 6520G + HD 7450M Dual Graphics witch is a asymmetric Crossfire combination of the Radeon HD 6520G processor graphics card.

The Crossfire mode only works for DX10 and DX11 games and may sometimes even decrease performance.
The performance of the combination ranged from a Intel HD Graphics 3000 to a Radeon HD 6630M
