    My RAM has only 1.7 GB Usable


    My laptop has 2GB RAM but only 1.7 GB usable, can I get the remaining 0.3 GB?Click image for larger version.

    My guess would be that the .3gb is being used by the onboard graphics. Mine uses up about .8Gb of memory.

    Bunny is correct,(dedicated graphics) you wont get that back.

    Yep, it's true it's because you're running an APU, so a integrated graphics in your CPU chip.

    If you are not playing any demanding games, you can reduce this amount in BIOS. I would set it to 128MB or 64MB, even 32MB to keep as much as possible RAM for the system.

Curious, this computer is showing me that only 3.45GB out of 4GB installed memory is actually usable by the OS. It does have Windows 10 x64. Anyone got a fix for this? Laptop CPU: AMD E1-6015 APU
I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 Home from Windows 7 Home. And I replaced my 4 RAM sticks with 8 GB RAM but my system shows : Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (3.23 GB usable). Please advise if anyone knows how to fix this. 39748
