Yeah, like OldMike said, that is weird Gary - it may well be a hint on something not exactly like it ought to be on your SSD. On the other hand, I know you're more likely to take an "ain't broke, not fixing it" approach on it for now and I respect that. It would have me rootin' and diggin' for a why, however.
It works and that is all I care about. There is another tut from Brink, I may have a look at his. It had some reg edits to do.

No , I chnged it to ACHI just like in the Tut I used. Your right about the power on the bigger cards. Do not even think about the 980, I believe you need a 1200 or 1300 PS to run it.

Shawn's tut is a tad different

Oh and on some of those GTX980's you can get by with a 600 or higher PS.....been reading a lot on gpu cards last few days. But the 980 is still to expensive for me, and that one IS overkill for what I want it for. :)

It is set to ACHI in my BIOS. There were only two things in the registry that I changed but nothing has changed in Windows 10. His TUT is also for UEFI BIOS, mine is not that.
About the urgency to get that card. This is Cyber Week and the price may go up tomorrow.

Yes, I saw that, but don't think it affects that one card. It might, but I am still going to wait. Not that big a deal, heck I don't really need to buy anything right now, both computers are running fine. This is just my want list, so to speak. :)

The price of That One SSD went up. But if you want to wait, it is your money. I have an Old GTX 460 laying around. It runs hot and makes noise and it has two power plugs.

Gary why don't you try the IRST driver as stated by me here , now that you are in AHCI. What is odd maybe because of missing driver, you are missing other ones listed in IDE controller in device manager. Do you have a DVD ROM i am sure you might as this one last shown looks like what it might be, windows 10 uses a standard SATA/AHCI for those ports.

As you see on mine, second one is like only one you show now
