    Sound problem with r7 265.

    x4 965/ Ga 790x-UD4/ R7 265 xfx ghost

Since I've installed the r7 265 I can't switch sound between playback devices speakers and amd hdmi currently Samsung tv, it seems to get stuck on speakers then I have to restart comp so it can switch over to hdmi or vise versa. I get no errors, pop ups or warnings from windows of what's going on everything else works I can play games for hours or watch movies fine it's just the sound switching doesn't work right without having to restart the comp .

I cleaned out catalyst in safe mode repetitively, tried 15.7.1 / 15.8/15.9.1 currently 15.10. I tried it on the msi 870-G45 mobo also and same thing.

    Ideas?

download the latest VT1828S Audio drivers here:
    http://www.viatech.com/en/silicon/legacy/audio/vt1828s/
see how you get on with the Via Audio driver, it should run straight off, but if there is a conflict, it may be
necessary to remove the AMD HD drivers completely, by doing a repair via the CCC in Control Panel/Programs and Features

    - let us know how you get on..

I gave up on the 870-G45 2 days ago I had the 1828S drivers installed and same problem.

Yesterday I switched over to the 790-x-ud4 board to concentrate on, installed realtek 2.79 sound drivers everything works fine for a while then poof back to the same problem. This time I managed to get some popup messages something about another device was using the sound close that program but nothing else was running that I could find. I'll try to post a snipit when it pops up again.

Something to add, I just went to switch over to tv and it fouled again, this time no message box nothing, vid displays on tv but no sound again even though sound is showing enabled for the tv, I go to device manager and disable amd hd sound then enable it and sound is now on tv where it's supposed to be, at least I've found a better way than having to restart the whole comp to get the sound straightened out again.
