Hello! I have an Asus FX503VD, i7 7700hq and running windows 10 and recently i have seen that my usb ports dont work properly.
Everytime i connect my flash drives or external hdd via usb works fine at first connection. If i disconnect and connect again they dont show in my computer and in device manager the have a yellow triangle next to it, on properties is says something about a code 38.
It works fine after restart but does the same on second connection.
I have the usb extensible host controller 3.0 microsoft 1.0.
My question is witch of the driver in the link is good for me?
There are so many there and i dont know which one is better for my laptop.
Many thanks and waiting for your reply.
This is a fairly old thread, last response was 19 Jun 2018. The first thing I do on Desktops with plug-in problems is shut the computer down and pull out the power cord, tends to 'normalize' things. On Notebooks it usually works by removing the battery and unplugging the AC adapter. Put the power back and try again.
The laptop is new so has a buit-in battery... Thats a little bit difficult to follow your idea.
Thanks anyways.
Yes i just updated bios last night. I was refering to the Winraid link. Thanks.
I don't know your laptop but probably the Modded 5.0.4.43 for 64 bit. but just so you know be sure you can use the trackpad or something else that is not USB to control the laptop as you will lose you use mouse during the installation most likely.
You need to follow the instructions to install the Certificate 1st though or Win 10 won't let it install. Ask further questions over there if needed.....
- for Intel Chipset systems from 8-Series up to 200-Series:

I realize that this is an old thread, but I'm wondering if Fernando had any upgradable for USB 3.0 extensible host controller driver pertaining to Intel(R) 6 series/C200 series chipset on the link provided on this thread?
Forum - USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)
I note that the oldest modded one he has is intel 7 series but I'm not sure if that would work for this one.
Thank you
Why not restart in test mode (ignore driver signatures), install the unsigned driver and then restart in normal mode?
