So you get as far as it asking you to connect the printer and you do it USB that is when it stalls ? Any messages it told you then ? Try another port and if have Anti-Virus turn it off temporarily.

Yeah when it tries to connect via usb it says it may take up to 2 mins. I left it over 5 and it still hasn't connected. No message comes up just keeps trying to connect. I'm no longer in front of the pc so may try it again tomorrow with the anti virus off.

Try another USB port, make sure it is USB 2.0. How are other USB devices working, o.k. ?

Yeah I've tried it in two different USB ports and still the same. All other things put in the USB ports work fine.

Well, if the setup is faulty and cannot extract the files, you can download and install WinRAR. Once installed right-click on the printer driver file you downloaded and select Open with WinRAR. You should be able to see all the files, unless the download wasn't complete and the file is truncated somewhere. If you can see all the files, extract to a folder. Now you should see setup file. Right-click on it and select Run as Administrator. Now it should work

Looking more at this Printer and googling solutions as i did see some in past with issues with this printer model in Windows 7 & 8.1 installing drivers and recognizing printer.
From setup guide does tell you to hook the printer up first then install the drivers ftp://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/3734/epson373469eu.pdf

Make sure you are downloading correct bit for OS you have 32 or 64bit. Maybe can try first running the Printer troubleshooter with printer hooked up and turned on MS may put a generic driver in for now. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...inter-problems
Epson software on CD has a software updater, so later on can be updated if you can install it from if it will as far as compatibility with Win 10.

Always try 7-zip too which is free instead of WinRAR http://www.7-zip.org/
Although self extracting .exe file the Epson Driver.

Have another USB cable for the printer you can also try ?

Apart from a faulty USB cable (try replacing it), the installation can fail if there are unsuccessfully installed devices in Device Manager. Before your next attempt, click on search and type Device Manager. Click to open it and then click on View, Show hidden devices. This will reveal the print queue. Delete any references of the printer in print queue, printers, other devices, unknown etc. Make sure no trace is left in Device Manager. Then have a look in Devices and Printers (search for that if cannot find it) that there is no printer partially installed there as well. Now you can try installing again.

Good points, basically want to know if it is even being recognized at all in Device manager too, when hooked up. It Seems it's still not able to be recognized i feel in ways, as setup guide shows should be plugged in the port and turned on before drivers are installed. Different with some printers. We want to know if first your able to establish a connection to the PC via USB,if that is the issue. Other places in Device Manager would be also Imaging devices (this is an all-in-one), Printer of course on USB Serial Bus Controller which could be an issue along with the cable.

Just remembered a Windows XP case that an HP multifunctional would not complete detection. The user has mixed various drivers for the same printer and while at device detection it always took too much time and eventually failed. I discovered that Windows would automatically pick a driver that wasn't the same version that HP software expected and hence could not verify that the hardware was detected in order to proceed to the next stage. To remedy that, I opened Device Manager during detection stage and manually replaced each printer/scanner driver with the one in the installation folder. After doing that detection completed successfully and installation went to the next stage. So after trying my suggestions in my previous post and you still have an issue, try manually installing the relevant drivers. You never know...
