Windows 10: Samsung's 950 Pro SSD

Cliff,
The Disk Device view of Device Manager will show the Microsoft driver. You need to look at Storage Controllers/Samsung NVMe Controller then Properties to see the installed Samsung driver.

Thanks @Railtech!

Yep!
My new PC has a Samsung MZVLV512HCJH (PM951) 512 GB PCI Express Gen3 x4 M.2 disk and the NVMe driver doesn't do anything for mine, it is not recognized, and it uses the default SCSI driver from 2006
Attachment 111838
Unless I'm missing something?
Attachment 111839
Yes, you are "missing something". If you notice the "Version", it's actually the MS Windows 10 version of the driver that was created originally in 2006.

As usual the daily download limit has been reached. Why is Samsung the only company I know that has this download problem?

Has anybody found an alternate source for the 2.1 driver? I can find lots of alternatives for 2.0 (which is how I got mine) but no alternatives for 2.1. Any members who've got 2.1 willing to share with us (if permitted by site guidelines)?
Thanks,

I just told Samsung how I felt about their download limit. Finding their e-mail address is a challenge and then when you finish fillling out their form, the submit button is hidden; you need to tab through the fields to get the outline of that submit button to display.
I suggested they switch to bitorrent if they can't afford the bandwidth to support their products. They promise to reply in 24-48 hours and I wonder what they will say. :-)
Oh please: do share their response to you here, so we can all see what they say. I've been miffed at this policy for years. Thanks!

Its not because of bandwitdh. They started doing it after the FW update that caused a bunch of 850 Pro's to brick back in 2015. They limit the amount of people who can download things when they release it for the first week in case something goes wrong they can quickly pull it. That way only a small number of people are affected compared to the 850 Pro FW that affected ALOT of users.
