    X1300 and Windows 10 problem / query.

    Good morning,

My Son has a 'basic' pc which is happily running Windows 7 Home Premium.
The reserve Windows 10 app started and checked his PC, but says that Windows 10 cannot be installed due to his Radeon X1300 graphics doesn't have an up-to-date driver...

Has anyone managed to get Windows 10 installed on a PC with the X1300 graphics, and if so, how?.

    Very Best Wishes,
    Bob.

I have installed W10 Home x86 on a P4 PC (from 2005). You have to download the w7 driver for it.

I used 3DPChip for a quick access to drivers download.

You could also go directly to AMD page -> Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD

Thanks for your reply, I'll have a look on Wednesday.

The X1300 is an old card, and AMD won't support it for Windows 10.

However, I think that it supports the minimum specs fro 10 (Direct X 9). You may be able to install from the Media Creation Tool and manually install drivers for an older OS. WDDM 1.0 is for Vista.

I haven't experimented with that sort of thing yet. Maybe I'll sacrifice my disused 2008 AMD/nVidia notebook to the testing gods.

Try this card and replace the old Radeon X1300. It works great with Windows 10. I used it to upgrade my old Dell XPS 210. It also works with Slimline HP systems.
