    i7-7700 CPU LGA 1151 socket
In order to upgrade to Win11
Are there faster processors available where all that’s necessary is to plug in the new processor, not having to install a new motherboard or chipset?
No, unless you have one of those interesting motherboards that supports 6,7,8 and 9th gen intel cpus.

    Dell Optiplex5050
    doesnt support win11.

Depends on your budget. If you must have an oem machine something like dell 5060/5070
or better an HP 800 g4/g5

or you can build your own easily enough. Motherboard, ram, cpu , power supply and case.

From MS and pay.. for 1 year (?)
Or 0patcher for less and for longer.

Thanks to all for your input. I might be forced to bite the bullet and upgrade my computer. Again, thanks for your time and interest. Coopfab
