I don't care what cpu you use. Just don't have check marks in the boxes and Windows will use all cores as needed.
What you are doing when you put a check mark is limiting the use of the cpu cores.

Device Manager will show how many cores there are but it doesn't show how many cores are being used.

Just leave the boxes without check marks and things will work as they should.
The point is that Windows, during installation put checkmark on WRONG number of cores and not only once.

I really don't know how that happened. Windows has never put a check mark in those boxes on any install I have ever done.

Same way I feel about Intel, someone would have to hold a big gun to my head to switch to Intel platform. Either that or if someone would give me a present of a top I7 system, lol.

Win10 guessed correctly on my AMD 8 core 8150. No checked boxes. I hope it does just as well after black Friday when I pick-up an 8350 for peanuts.

That's quite a jump you are going to make, Zambezi to Vishera. It may not look to much looking at numerals. Behold CPU Value (CPU Mark / $Price ) PassMark - AMD FX-8150 Eight-Core - Price performance comparison
