Erratic mouse behavior
logitech wireless m310 mouse, k520 wireless keyboard, m585 bluetooth mouse
I have several m310's as well as multiple unifying receivers. This is not battery related.
In the past, for years now, every once in a while, I've experience similar behavior. Basically, the mouse cursor movement gets jittery, to varying degrees. It had been occurring for a couple weeks, but yesterday it had gotten worse to a point where it was affecting my work flow.
Sometimes, if I change receiver ports, that takes care of it, but not yesterday. Also, when trying to pair the devices for testing (both mice and keyboard), most of the time, it took 3-5 tries before before success. Kept telling me it couldn't pair, then, eventually did the pairing, but I don't know why the "couldn't pair" message appeared if it wasn't receiving the pair request in the first place.
Finally, I tested with the last mouse, and the fifth receiver. No success, at first, that is.
After w while, all of all sudden, the bad behavior just went back to normal. BTW, throughout all this, the bluetooth mouse has behaved perfectly.
I don't want to stray to far from the subject, but I occasionally have another weird device related symptom, usually when I am booting up to a recovery environment outside of windows. The keyboard stops working. Somehow, I stumbled on the fact if I press the "Caps Lock" button 10 times, the keyboard is reactivated. That happened one time in Windows during my testing yesterday. Very strange
Seems to me the only common factor here is wifi??
