Please do yourself a favour. In post#3 and 5, dalchina had recommended that you run the Trial version of Hard Disk Sentinel to ascertain the health of your HDD. You had ignored.
Now if you want to keep your HDD, you have to keep monitoring the HDD with the above software. You may also run the Surface Test to find the bad blocks.
In my case once the bad sectors started showing up.- the system was performing fine even with the bad blocks, since the bad blocks were getting remapped into reserved sectors - I cloned my HDD on to a SSD. I continued to use the HDD and at one stage the bad sectors abruptly started increasing fast and spreading all over the drive. At that point I disacarded the HDD and replaced it with the cloned SSD drive.
Note: As long as the bad sectors are getting remapped into the Reserved sectors, the system will work fine.
So start off monitoring your HDD with Hard Disk Sentinel. You may read my thread here Is my HDD failing?
A sample screenshot of my failing HDD:
Note: Even with 48 bad sectors and health 54%, the performance was excellent -100% ( You should clone the drive when the the performance is still showing 100% which means the system files have not been corrupted..
Hard Disk Sentinel Hard Disk Sentinel Trial version - HDD health and temperature monitoring
Post a screenshot of Hard Disk Sentinel "overview" as shown in the sample screenshot above.
Advice: Clone the HDD while the performance is still showing excellent and keep it.
